A difficult middle child:

A middle child who exhibits challenging behaviors or faces unique difficulties within the family dynamic. This can stem from feelings of being overlooked or neglected, as middle children may not receive the same level of attention as the eldest or youngest siblings.

“A difficult middle child” 指的既不是兄弟姐妹当中的老大,也不是老小,而是那个夹在中间总爱闯祸、难管教的孩子。
