BBC地道英语 – A blessing in disguise

A blessing in disguise:
Something that seems bad or unlucky at first, but results in something good happening later

“A blessing in disguise”

Losing that job turned out to be a blessing in disguise – I found a much better one!

I’m annoyed we had to cancel the holiday, but I think it could be a blessing in disguise – the weather forecast for that week is terrible!

Having a new competitor could be a blessing in disguise – we’ll make better products.
